LONDON UNITED

Transdev acquired London United in 1997 and has worked to bring its skills, international experience and best practice to London United's services.

London United is one of the six major bus operators serving the capital, operating within central, west and south west London and carries approximately 100 million people a year, employing over 2,000 people.

Investing in the future

London United's fleet consists of some 650 buses and in the last three years Transdev has invested in over £35 million worth of new vehicles, which all comply with Euro II and Euro III regulations. The new buses feature low floor access and use new, cleaner energy which, combined with energy conservation programmes, underlines Transdev's commitment to protecting the environment.

Further investment has also been made in staff and facilities with extra Service Controllers, a comprehensive training facility and bus-driver-licence-test-centre and new garage premises and refurbishments.

Award winning services
London United was named Public Transport Operator of the Year at the 2005 London Transport Awards.
