greentomatocars win Heathrow contract1 August 2011
From the beginning of August passengers at Heathrow Airport have been experiencing the outstanding service of London’s first and largest green private hire operator, greentomatocars. The company has been appointed as the official airport transfer service to Heathrow for a five year contract period, with an option to extend for a further three years.
Almost 66 million passengers went through Heathrow in 2010, making it one of the busiest airports in the world, and by far the busiest in the UK. With an estimated 11 million taxi and minicab transfers every year, the contract presents greentomatocars with an opportunity to continue its rapid expansion and to show international visitors the importance given to environmental solutions by leading UK institutions like BAA. As well as its market-leading green credentials, greentomatocars was awarded the contract due to its focus on innovation, unbridled energy, and competitive pricing structures.
greentomatocars operates a diverse green fleet of almost 200 vehicles, including hybrid saloons, as well as People Carriers and Executive Vehicles that are fuelled by locally sourced biodiesel refined from Waste Vegetable Oil.
